Being a port city, Havana was always open to sea trade from 011corners of the world. On Mercaderes Street, a short distance from the bay and the historical Old Square, ElMesón de la Flota opens its doors to visitors, bringing back the image of the old 18th and 19th century inns; those that served as a meeting place for sailors from the legendary galleon fleet during theirstay in Havana. The inn has five comfortable rooms and a restaurant that resembles a Spanish tavern that serves delicious tapas andselect wines. The decoration of the inn features sea motifs with scale model replicas of old vessels, complemented by the charm and emocional call of a Flamenco "tablao" that undoubtedly invites us to drop in and enjoy a night out.
